These torches work great. I put 4 around my yard and they add a great accent feel to my yard. The flickering LEDs really do look like a flickering flame. Very pleased!
Arrived in a timely manner. Worked right off the bat.........worth the money. I would recommend this product and buy again.
First off, I've NEVER had anything from Amazon take this long to arrive. True enough I knew at time of purchase that shipping would take a long time, but jeez . . . Really? Did they have to go out to the forests of China to chop down just the right bamboo? Anyway, I was a little disappointed upon seeing the shipping box, as it was about 5 ft long . . . yes they came fully constructed. Upon opening the box, I was even more disappointed when I saw they were actually made of real bamboo poles. I was expecting to match the other sets I already had purchased at local stores made of plastic poles. So as I began to use them in the yard, I discovered they do not put out the same amount of light as my other solar tiki torches do. It was close, just not quite the same, even though construction of the light fixture seem to be identical. I still like them and appreciate having them. It might be interesting to note that in a recent wind storm my existing plastic poles actually snapped at the base (may have been just due to their age) and the bamboo poles held up just fine. Overall, I am happy with them and if you can tolerate a little more rustic appearance, they should do quite well for you. I was also lucky that I found them when Amazon first started carrying them, as they were about ten dollars cheaper, which made them a much better deal based on a per light price compared to other manufacturers.
I bought these for my houseboat and they work great - They DO NOT provide enough light for navigating, or even moving around on deck, but they are TERIFFIC ambiance lighting (what I bought them for)- They were delivered AHEAD of schedule with the package intact - The lights are "real" bamboo (for the most part), and required a little Super Glue touch-up of some loose ends on the basket weaving around the "torch", but other than that, worked great right out of the box. These will enhance any tropical themed boat or back-yard - They are VERY COOL!
Have had similar torches that have worked for years. Live in Florida so they are in the sun all day. Not one of these torches work. I rechecked to make sure the inside switch was on and even replaced the batteries in one of them and still nothing. Don't waste you money on these.
We brought 4 one does not work the others ones come on at different times. It would be hard to send all of them back because they are so bulkey. I wanted 4 but I guess we will have to settle for 3 I don't think I would buy these again.
Torches arrived in flimsey packaging, with one of them taking a hit during shipping. That, however, was easy to remedy with a small piece of tape on the battery compartment. The quality is better than you'd expect for the price & they come with the rechargable batteries, which is a huge plus. The body is real bamboo, standing an impressive 3-4 feet tall depending on how deep you plant them. At night when they turn on, the plastic weather proof container looks more like wax paper with the lights inside, adding additional class to the product (I was skeptical that they would look anything but cheesy, but I was wrong). All things considered, I highly recommend this product, as any searches on the web will not yield better bang for your buck!
