   Bought this set for an entertainment center I'm building. The bits are standard high quality Freud router bits. The only problem, and it's not the bit's fault, is that they are sooo exact, if your 3/4" plywood isn't perfectly straight you are going to have a very difficult time getting it in the dado. If it was 1/2 or 1/4" you could probably make the plywood fit your straight and perfectly sized dado, but not with 3/4" plywood.

   I purchased this set from Amazon. I was very dissappointed with this product as soon as I opened the package. First the case that holds the bits was busted up. Hinges were broken and the latch was broken and none of the peices were in the box. Which leads me to believe that it was shipped that way. After inspecting the bits, there appeared to be no damage. A week later, I was working on a project that would require me to use three of the four bits. I needed to make a 1/4" groove for a drawer bottom. The bit would not make the groove at all. I decided that I would change the size of the drawer bottom to use the 1/2" plywood that I had laying around, but again I had a very hard time making the groove. Since the drawers were to have 3/4" plywood on the 4 sides, I decided to use the 3/4" bit for making the rabbits and the grooves for the front of the drawer. I encountered lots of kickback and injury due to the kickback. I finally gave up and used the CMT undersized 3/4" router bit, and had no problems what so ever. Normally, I would consider Freud the best in Router Bits, but now, I do not think that they are the best any longer. I do have other Freud bits, and I am very happy with them. But I will be looking to purchase CMT bits in the future, and if CMT does not provide a bit that I need, then I may consider Freud. But because that I have not had a reply from Amazon since I complained about the packaging, I am also dissappointed and considering that I may not purchase from Amazon as much as I have lately. Hopefully, I can find competitive suppliers of the items that I look for, but only time will tell.
