Was given this gun to use when another gun stopped working properly. This was during an installation of BR-111 5/16" solid chestnut tongue in groove flooring with an osb underlayment. The gun was fairly simple to set up to match the profile of the product, took about five minutes at most.Took more air pressure (77psi vs 62psi) and was louder than the 1838K. Once the pressure was right it knocked in the 1" staples consistently.The stamped steel safety nosepiece was kinda sharp on the edges so I took a file and dressed a light bevel on it. Always bring this gun into the work from from behind not the top so the safety doesnt leave a scratch on a finished board.It's a lightweight gun that can be used ALL day.

We are in the construction/residential remodeling business in Florida. Most homes here are built on a concrete slab so we have installed many hardwood floors by gluing them...not fun, but necessary. We recently remodeled a frame home with plywood sub-floors and finally had the opportunity to use staples for the installation, so ordered this tool. What a time saver!! It worked like a charm throughout the entire 2300 sq. foot installation. No glitches, no jamming up of the staples. I just wish there were more wood frame structures down this way! Highly recommended!

As with any other Bostitch product I've owned,this product is defineitely what I needed,and priced reasonable. Would buy again,if I could ever wear it out!

Instructions could be improved (small print and figures difficult to read). Stapler loading not intuitive. Must keep shoe flat on new flooring (not sub-floor), if not may staple on surface. If new user, practice on mock-up recommended. Once I got going (learning curve) tool worked good - no mis-fires.

I used this gun to install about 100 sq feet of Bruce/Armstrong Natural Reflections Oak flooring. It made the install go super smooth with no major issues. Jammed maybe once and it took a few minutes to get a feel for it. Once you get going it is amazing. I highly recommend it.

Worked flawlessly to lay 600sq/ft of 3/8" solid Brazillian Redwood from BellaWood. Make sure you grab this gun for the hard solid woods as I rented the LHF97125-2 first and it wouldn't push the 20ga staples all the way through.
