These bins were a good value for money if you compare them to similar bins at the container store that were about 4x the price per unit. However, I have to say that they are much larger than I imagined from the photo (not necessarily a bad thing since we need the storage... but large enough that if you fill it with something heavy it would be hard to lift, for me with a bum back right now it would be impossible). I had even read a similar warning from another reviewer, but still was surprised. The other minor negative is a slightly odd chemical/ plastic smell that made me a bit worried about storing my baby's clothes in there- I tried to air them out a bit before putting things in and that seemed to help. Overall I was quite pleased with them though and we have them in our basement storage space. I feel like they will protect against dampness and or in case of a shallow flood. Certainly much better than cardboard boxes. I also like that they are clear so I could put little labels inside facing out to see what is where (or just be able to see items themselves).
Top notch product, could use better packaging. One of these was broken upon arrival, but amazon.com promptly sent a replacement with no hassle. These are VERY sturdy. I have four kids and use them to store clothes between kids and seasons. I like that they are see-through. I just stick an index card inside the front with the sizes inside to easily find what I'm looking for when the season changes. Lid & locking handle aren't flimsy either! Recommended!
My wife and I needed some large containers to store baby stuff in the garage. These have been perfect. They all arrived intact without breakage mentioned in the other review. They were big enough to contain really large items, like infant car seat, car seat base, and unused changing table from our pack and play, while having plenty of space left over to pack smaller items around the edges. We have been using them for abut 6 months now and I recently moved them to our new place. Great buy. Much bigger than anything I have seen in stores.
I am very satisfied with this boxes - they are right size for storing almost everyting, made of good thick plastic, and have secure latches. Price is a little high - but the quality is good.
Large, tight fitting lids AND stackable, I love them. Well worth the money and I would definitely recommend them. In fact I will be purchasing more of them to replace all the flimsy plastic boxes and the totally useless cardboard boxes I have been storing in.
I really have a ton of photos and albums and the like I wanted to store. I wanted a good quality, priced right, fully closing, stackable, not to heavy when full, easy to carry, set. This set fulfilled my needs perfectly!!! I think I may get another set and work on organizing more of my "stuff"
These storage boxes are practical, easy to stack and store,the see-through quality making it easy to find what you put away. Never can have enough of them at all sizes.
