Unlike the other reviewer, we found this item to be of good quality. It looks great with the Delta Touch2O faucet.
I purchased this Air Gap to match the delta faucet that I had bought to replace my existing faucet. It matches the finish exactly as I had expected and was priced comparably to what was being sold at the hardware store.
Like other reviewers have stated: This items appears pretty cheap for the cost. I am assuming Delta is just gouging the price for people who want the oil rubbed bronze color (instead of the white, SS, or brushed nickel look). Overall I am satisfied with the air gap after it is installed. The color of the cap matches the other Delta items in my kitchen. The housing itself is the same cheap plastic that is sold for $5 at HD or Lowe's (Do not over tighten).The one thing that was disappointing was that the base of the plastic that sits on the countertop is still white. So the cap matches great and sits on a bright white plastic ring. I wish the whole thing was the oil rubbed bronze color.For the price, you would think they would make the entire visible portion the oil rubbed bronze color.
This is VERY thin, cheap item. The plastic is breaks almost with your hand touch. Its not worth $16.
For the price, relative to other (non-name-brand) air gaps, I would expect better quality. The plastic body of the air gap is too thin, and when you try to tighten it to the sink, the body bends and the threads slip. In whole, not worth the price.
