I had surgery on my foot an am not going to be able to put weight on it or get it wet for months. I bought a shower seat at Walgreen's but couldn't find a decent shower head. I bought this one because it has an on/off switch. Another one I looked at on here had a switch but some reviewers said it still leaked. This one turns off completely. It makes it so much easier to keep the water away from my foot in the shower (yes I'm using a plastic bag but still nervous about getting it too wet). The hose isn't super long but my shower stall is small so it works just fine. Like the diverter valve too, that way we can still have another fancier shower head and choose which one to use.
This item worked fine for a month and then broke. It started spraying water all over the place at the base.
Well, I haven't really put this in use yet but tested it out. Good things are no leak from the shower head, water flow nicely without the diverter. The shut off button can also used as the water flow control which is a plus. I would have given 4 stars if it's not for the diverter. It's cheaply made and I am sure it will fall apart in no time. It cuts the water flow more than half the flow switch is very hard to switch around all the way without the risk of breaking it as it's all cheap plastic. Then with my faucet, by the time this is tightly attached, the side spout is facing the faucet which is right against the sink so no use at all. These may be a common issues for any diverters I guess but at least replace it with a better quality one.I bought a ADAPTER FAUCET TO GARDEN HOSE from Amazon http://www.amazon.com/dp/B002FYIVBO/ref%3dpe_175190_21431760_cs_sce_3p_dp_1_A along with another 1/2" to 3/8" male converter to connect this to my sink. It will be a pain not using a diverter as I'll need to remove this each time I wish to use the sink faucet but than it looks better without this being attached to the sink anyway.
The shower arm does what it was made to do. The only problem I have with the shower arm is the method you must use to hang it when not in use. You are instructed to drill holes in your ceramic tile wall to install the hangar. This is unacceptable and if I had known of that problem I would not have purchased the item. Howsever in every other respect, it performs satisfactorily.
